Imagine stocks as candy in a candy shop. The candy shop owner, Jim, decides he's going to have a sale on some candy. He wants to sell more candy, but not all the candy. So, he only puts some candy on sale.
Now, this is the same as stocks. Some people are very confident about a certain stock. So they buy a lot of that stock, believing that the price will go up. They want to buy more, but the stock isn't on sale. So they go to their brokers and say, "Hey, can I buy this stock at a lower price than it is currently selling for?" Their brokers go to the stock exchange and say, "Hey, I want to buy this stock at a lower price."
If enough people want to buy the stock at a lower price, then the price will go down. But if no one wants to buy the stock at a lower price, then the price will stay the same or go up.
So, in short, when a lot of people want to buy a stock at a lower price than it is currently selling for, then the stock's price can go down. This is what is happening with AI stock. A lot of people want to buy it at a lower price, so the price is going down.
